FOOTBALL ROUNDUP : Jacot Scores Four to Help Lead SCC to First Victory

Mike Jacot rushed for 342 yards in 24 carries and scored four touchdowns to lead Southern California College to a 36-20 victory over St. John’s at Brea-Olinda High School.

The victory was the first for SCC (1-2) this season. St. John’s is 0-3.

Jacot ran through the St. John’s defense at will with runs of 70, 42 and 28 yards. Junior quarterback Boomer Felton rushed for 26 yards and scored a touchdown. Robert Wakimoto contributed 72 yards on kickoff and punt returns.

The Flames’ defense, led by Jacot and Jason Codol, held the Saints to one first down and eight yards rushing in the second half. St. John’s was led by Termayne Sanders, who rushed for 67 yards and two touchdowns in five carries, including a kickoff return of 75 yards. That score closed the gap to 28-20. Sanders’ return was the only offensive productivity for the Saints in the second half. Quarterback Jimmy Feagin completed four of six passes for 82 yards and one touchdown.
