It’s Marsh Gas
Is this for real?
The preliminary environmental impact report for Bolsa Chica had a provision that the owners of the 4,884 dwellings the Koll Co. is planning on building on the mesa and the wetlands could not have cats. The reason being apparently that the houses would be too near to the wetlands and the birds.
In the recently released EIR, they have dropped that no-cats recommendation and substituted, guess what? “There would be a salt marsh monitor.”
Now, just what and who is that? Is it a person wearing a uniform with infrared glasses to catch the animals who are out prowling at night in the wetlands? Who picks up the tab for the monitor? Not the citizens of Huntington Beach who do not want the houses on the mesa and wetlands.
Maybe they better go back to the drawing board again.
