La Quinta Chooses Turnbull to Coach

WESTMINSTER — Don Turnbull, former assistant track coach at Loara High, has been named varsity cross-country and track coach at La Quinta High, according to the school’s athletic director, Jim Perry.
Turnbull, 24, was the cross-country coach and assistant track coach at Cypress High from 1988-91 before becoming the distance coach for Loara’s track team last season. He will be a walk-on coach at La Quinta.
