Glendale : Free Disposal of Big Items

Giant trash containers for free disposal of bulky household items will be placed in three areas of the city this weekend as part of a seven-week program to rid the city of unsightly junk.
The bins will be located Friday through Monday at 3445 Altura Ave. in the La Crescenta area, at 1723 Glenwood Road on the west side and at 418 Spencer St. in the south-central area.
Residents have been asked not to throw hazardous materials or yard clippings into the containers.
