La Canada Flintridge : Water Rates to Increase

The Mesa Crest Water Co., which serves about 700 customers in La Canada Flintridge, announced a 19% rate increase to cover an increase in the rate it pays the Metropolitan Water District and other costs.
Water rates will increase by 38 cents per hundred cubic feet, adding $9.50 to the average residential water bill for 2,500 cubic feet a month.
Mesa Crest is a privately owned company. The California Public Utilities Commission approved the rate increase.
