Orion Posts Big Fourth-Quarter Loss: Orion Pictures Corp. attributed the loss to heavy costs associated with its reorganization proceedings in U.S. bankruptcy court, unspecified write-downs in the value of some of its films and the costs of closing its television production operation. The New York-based firm lost $210 million, or $9.33 a share, in the three months ended Feb. 29, compared to a loss of $48 million, or $2.14 a share, in the previous year. Revenue for the quarter tumbled 48.8% to $90.4 million from $176.6 million a year earlier. Orion sought protection from its creditors under Chapter 11 of the federal bankruptcy laws in December.
