EMMY LETTERS : Answering ‘Family Values’ Campaign
- Share via
Another politically correct Emmy Awards ceremony is over. It was a case in conformity.
Given the “feeding-frenzy” attitude of the participants, I wish just one courageous speaker would have defended Dan Quayle, if only for variety. Of course, such a person would have been--dare I use the word?--censored by the entertainment community.
The vice president should be attacked for supporting the Economic Competitiveness Council, which opposes both environmental protection and worker safety laws. The media, however, would rather deliver sarcastic one-liners than deal with real issues.
Does the entertainment community have anything to say about moral courage? I don’t think so.
