Outfielder Kevin Mitchell was put on the 60-day disabled list because of a broken foot, ending his first season with the Seattle Mariners. Mitchell, 30, hit .286 with nine homers and 67 RBIs. . . . Jerry McMorris was named chairman and chief executive officer of the general partnership that controls the Colorado Rockies. The move was made in a restructuring one month after an alleged scandal involving one of the general partners. John Antonucci remains as chairman and CEO of the team itself and reports to McMorris. . . . National League President Bill White reduced the suspension of Cincinnati’s Glenn Braggs from four games to two after an appeal by the Major League Players Assn.
