PALMDALE : Van Pool Program Offers Incentives
- Share via
Antelope Valley residents will have new incentives to join van pools under a program announced Monday by the city of Palmdale and developer Kaufman and Broad using a $120,000 grant from the Los Angeles County Transportation Commission.
New van pool participants from the region will receive a $15 monthly credit toward the costs for the first year; the first 10 new van pools formed will each get $600 over six months toward fuel costs, and Palmdale riders will be eligible for a $100 rebate.
The program is one of 43 pilot projects that the county commission approved in June to cut traffic congestion, providing about $15 million in funding. More information is available from the development firm at (800) 344-6637.
