Walnut : City to Fund Street’s Repair
A pothole-marred stretch of Nogales Street that has been responsible for at least two auto-damage claims against the city has been designated for reconstruction.
The City Council last week authorized payment of as much as $162,500 for engineering consultants to draw up plans to rebuild approximately one-half mile of Nogales Street between Shadow Oak Drive and Bel Air Drive in southwest Walnut.
City Engineer Ron Kranzer estimated the cost of the project at $910,000. The construction is scheduled to begin in February and to be completed by April.
