Van Horne to Fight One-Time Olympian
Darrin Van Horne, the former International Boxing Federation super-welterweight and super-middleweight champion now fighting as a light-heavyweight, is scheduled to fight in a 10-round bout at the Country Club in Reseda on Friday night.
Van Horne (48-3) will take on Martin Amarillas (19-4), a member of Mexico’s 1988 Olympic team. Welterweight Engels Pedroza (36-4, 35 knockouts) of Mexico City also is scheduled to fight a 10-round bout, against an opponent to be named.
The card begins at 5:30.
