MOVING ON: If a new Santa Ana ordinance takes effect next Wednesday, this could be the last weekend for the dozens of homeless who are camped at the downtown Civic Center. . . . Operation Fresh Start, a group set up to help the homeless, will be on hand today to assist them in moving. Duffel bags will be handed out for the evacuees to store their belongings, and some medical assistance will be provided. . . . But the issue is a long way from being settled: lawyers for the homeless have plans to go to court next week seeking to invalidate Santa Ana’s new anti-camping ordinance.
