LA PALMA — A construction worker was killed Monday afternoon, apparently the victim of accidental electrocution.
Samuel Lake Evans, 30, was closing the fence around a construction site at 5472 Orangethorpe Ave. just after 3:30 p.m. when the fence touched a portable metal shed that was charged by a live wire, officials said.
Firefighters tried to revive Evans and took him to La Palma Intercommunity Hospital, where he died at 4:29 p.m.
Police, as well as local and state health and safety officials, are still investigating the accident. An autopsy was scheduled for this morning. Evans lived in Woodland Hills.
