$2.9-Million Order Placed for ScannerMate Recorder

Terminal Data Corp. of Moorpark has received a $2.9-million order from NCR Corp. for ScannerMate Recorder microfilming systems. ScannerMate is a key element in NCR’s financial transaction processing systems.

The Moorpark company’s microfilmers are widely used by banks, credit card companies, utilities and others needing to store large amounts of computerized financial data.

TDC said the order is the largest ever placed by NCR since it began using ScannerMate 15 years ago. NCR is a unit of American Telephone & Telegraph Co.

Shipments under the new order will start in December and continue through November, 1993, TDC said.
