Huntway Partners L.P. Reports 2nd-Quarter Loss
Huntway Partners L.P., a Valencia-based producer of liquid asphalt and other products refined from crude oil, reported a second-quarter loss of $630,000, compared with year-earlier earnings of $1.68 million.
The loss came on an 8% decline in Huntway’s revenue in the quarter ended June 30, to $29.1 million from $31.6 million. The company said increases in its selling and administrative costs contributed to the loss.
Huntway also lost $201,000 for the first half of 1992, compared with a year-earlier profit of $2.81 million, and its six-month revenue fell 14%, to $46.6 million from $54.3 million.
