Canoga Park Better Off
Since I moved to Canoga Park, I have heard it put down constantly.
Although Canoga Park has its share of crime, traffic, and some poorly maintained properties, many of us still feel a sense of community. Many residents have been neighbors for 30 years or more. We cheer the athletic teams at the local high school, enjoy several parks and take advantage of being ideally located in the Valley.
I was surprised that some of our residents on the Woodland Hills border decided to join that community.
One of them complained that nearby homeowners were unable to sell their homes. Apparently he is unaware that the real estate market everywhere is facing difficult times.
What we have lost to Woodland Hills is a group of people who probably never appreciated being part of Canoga Park. It would not surprise me if someday they get too good for Woodland Hills and petition to join Hidden Hills.
