Bank of America to Close 29 Branches: Bank of America will shut down 29 branches in Los Angeles and Ventura counties before the end of the year as part of its merger with Security Pacific, officials said. The closures will include eight Bank of America branches and 21 offices still operating under the Security Pacific logo. Customer accounts and employees will be transferred to neighboring branches that will remain open under the Bank of America name, said spokesman Adrian Rodriguez. Fifteen branches in Los Angeles County will be closed at the end of business on Nov. 13, with 14 Ventura County offices shutting down on Dec. 13, the company said.
