Getting in Print
After reading Charlton Heston’s eloquent letter (“Heston Speaks for Women,” Aug. 3), I thought, “Gee, this isn’t the first time I’ve read one of his letters in The Times.” Actually, The Times prints several of his letters every year. Oh well, I guess it’s nice to know what he thinks these days.
As a local actor-screenwriter, I’ve always admired Heston’s films, but I’m still wondering, “Why are there so many of his letters in The Times?”
Then I got an idea! Maybe you could have a regular Calendar section of nothing but his letters!
You know what? I think I’m just jealous that you print his letters and not mine. Oh, well. . . .
