The Aloha Bowl agreed to join a bowl alliance that will allow it to pick a Western Athletic Conference team for its Christmas Day game.
The Aloha Bowl, which was not included in bowl arrangements announced earlier this year, will get first choice of runners-up in the WAC. The league champion will, as usual, receive an automatic berth in the Holiday Bowl.
If the Aloha Bowl passes on taking a WAC runner-up, the Copper Bowl will get first choice among the remaining WAC teams.
