Woman, 82, Dies After Auto Collision in Laguna Hills

LAGUNA HILLS — A Laguna Hills woman died Thursday afternoon after a traffic collision in an intersection near Leisure World, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Evelyn Dupuy, 82, was pronounced dead at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo, where she was taken after the 1:20 p.m. collision, the CHP and coroner’s officials said.
CHP Officer Gregory Moorehead said Dupuy had a green light and drove south on Calle Corta when her auto collided with a westbound car on El Toro Road.
The westbound car, driven by a 17-year-old Aliso Viejo girl, apparently ran a red light, Moorehead said. The teen-ager was slightly injured in the collision and was taken to Saddleback Memorial Medical Center in Laguna Hills, Moorehead said.
No one was arrested. The investigation into the collision.
