VISTA : 14 Youths Arrested in Series of Thefts

A San Diego County Sheriff’s Department investigation into a series of 26 burglaries and car thefts has resulted in the arrests of 14 high school boys from Vista, authorities said Thursday.
The youths, whose ages range from 14 to 17, are suspected of stealing property worth about $100,000, a sheriff’s spokesman said. The boys’ names were not released because of their age. The boys, who were arrested in July, were identified as students at Vista High School.
Sheriff’s detectives originally connected four of the boys to a car theft, which led to the identification of the remaining 10 youths.
