RESIDENTIAL REAL ESTATE
Groundbreaking: One of those senior housing projects recently broke ground in Dana Point--one of the relatively few residential developments of any type to get underway in Orange County this year.
Construction of the community of 180 luxury attached homes by Emeritus Housing Group, a partnership headed by O’Malley Partners of Santa Monica, is being financed by the real estate investment arm of J.P. Morgan & Co., the big New York commercial banking firm.
The 10.5-acre project, on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, has been planned as a resort-style residential retirement community.
