Crenshaw : Galanter Shuts Field Office

Los Angeles City Councilwoman Ruth Galanter has closed her field office in the Crenshaw district after losing much of the area to Councilman Mark Ridley-Thomas when council boundaries were redrawn.
Los Angeles council districts were altered this spring to take into account population changes recorded by the 1990 Census.
Residents who need to reach Ridley-Thomas’ field office regarding city services or other issues may call (213) 485-7616.
Under the new boundaries, Galanter will continue to represent a largely residential portion of the Crenshaw district from 52nd Street south to the Inglewood border. Residents of that area can contact Galanter’s field office in Westchester by calling (213) 296-5997 or (213) 485-3308.
When the district lines were redrawn, Galanter’s territory was extended northward to include portions of the Rancho Park, Cheviot Hills and Westwood neighborhoods south of Wilshire Boulevard.
