CLOWNING AROUND: Most stage performers do research for their parts--even clowns. The clowns from the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, which comes next week to the Anaheim Convention Center, spent last weekend in Las Vegas at a convention honoring Laurel and Hardy films (E1). . . . “We’re strongly influenced by their work,” says one of the clowns, David Kiser. “Laurel and Hardy were clowns without the rubber nose.” . . . The circus runs for a week at the Convention Center, beginning Tuesday.
