Hasbro Inc. said it had a second-quarter profit of $22.7 million, or 26 cents per share, contrasted with a loss of $31.1 million in the same quarter of 1991.
The 1991 loss was attributable to a $59-million charge related to the acquisition of Tonka on May 7, 1991.
Second-quarter sales climbed to $485.9 million from $368.5 million in the same period a year ago.
