I just finished reading Christopher Reynolds’ wonderful article on the Amish (“Witness to a Simpler Life,” June 21). I grew up in Hershey, Pa., which is close to Lancaster. I worked for several summers in Hershey Park and saw many Amish there, as well as at market in Harrisburg. Your article was wonderfully written and really did capture the unique flavor of the Amish and Mennonites. Thanks for a trip back home.
