Monterey Park : Meeting on Reservoir
An informational meeting on the Garvey Reservoir is planned at 7 p.m. Friday in the Council Chambers, 320 W. Newmark Ave.
The meeting will focus on the final Environmental Impact Report prepared by the Metropolitan Water District for repairing the reservoir.
The reservoir was drained three years ago after cracks were found.
Repairing and refilling has become a matter of controversy because nearby residents question the reservoir’s safety.
