The City Council on Tuesday gave initial approval to a zoning code amendment regulating commercial and industrial condominiums.
The council required that manufacturing and industrial condominium projects have at least 10,000 square feet of floor area for the entire complex and that each unit have a minimum of 2,000 square feet.
At the request of Councilman Thomas Breazeal, the Planning Commission will study possible standards for professional and medical office condominiums.
