La Verne : Street Improvements Set

The City Council Monday authorized spending $490,000 of Proposition C funds for a variety of transportation-related projects.
The largest expenditures are $195,100 for street improvements on Bonita and White avenues and $135,000 for a bus lane and slowing-down lane at Foothill Boulevard and Emerald Avenue.
The sales tax authorized by Proposition C may only be used for transportation programs.
