Average U.S. Gasoline Prices Drop

ORLANDO, Fla. — The national average price of self-serve regular unleaded gasoline fell this week for the first time since March 24, declining 2.1 cents to $1.166 a gallon, the American Automobile Assn. reported.
On March 24, self-serve regular unleaded averaged $1.049 per gallon.
The average price of regular unleaded declined last week in New England, the Mid-Atlantic, Great Lakes, Southeast and Southwest. The price was higher in the Midwest and West, AAA said.
The national average price of self-serve mid-grade unleaded fell 2.3 cents to $1.255 a gallon. The price of premium unleaded dropped 2.3 cents to $1.341 a gallon.
