Textron Planning to Sell Newbury Park Division
Textron Inc. said it plans to sell its Textron Filtration Systems division in Newbury Park.
The division, which makes filtration systems for aerospace and industrial markets, is being sold because it does not fit within Textron’s strategy of focusing on its core businesses, the company said.
Textron, based in Providence, R. I., is a diversified concern with interests in the aerospace, commercial products and financial services markets.
Textron Filtration Systems became a separate division in 1990. Earlier it was operated as the PTI Technologies Inc. unit of HR Textron, a Textron unit that makes aircraft control systems. Textron had bought PTI from Purolator Inc. in 1984.
