I disagree with reader Thomas W. Graham’s assessment of PBS’ so-called liberal agenda. The nation’s most prominent conservative, Vice President Dan Quayle, apparently feels that all of Hollywood’s output is too liberal and part of the “cultural elite.”
PBS’ attempts to “conserve” the environment, “conserve” the integrity of our political system and “conserve” an environment in which our children can learn and spell, seems to qualify as a conservative vehicle in my book. The fact that PBS must beg for money certainly points to the intelligence it displays.
