San Diego : Trash Collection Unaffected by Holiday
San Diego’s trash collectors will be on the job Friday, even though it is a city holiday, officials said.
All households that normally have trash removed on Friday should place their trash curbside as usual, said Richard L. Hays, director of the city’s Waste Management Department.
Trash will also be collected on Monday as scheduled, he said.
The curbside recycling program will also continue as regularly scheduled.
This year’s 4th of July holiday is a rare exception to the the city rule, which normally allows for trash to be collected the day following a scheduled city holiday.
Residents with trash collection questions can call 492-5060.
