I have been meaning for some weeks to write and tell you that I was shocked by the amount of space you devoted to the trivial and inane exhibit at UC Irvine (“Monumental Fictions and Lost Histories: Chicago Stories” by Cathy Curtis, April 6). The amount of print you devoted to that lifeless miscarriage virtually exceeded the size of the exhibit itself and dignified it beyond any conceivable measure of its worth.
