The New York Mets put right-hander Bret Saberhagen on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to Saturday, after an examination showed mild tendinitis in his right index finger. . . . The Philadelphia Phillies put outfielder Dale Murphy on the disabled list Tuesday for the second time to rest his sore left knee and sent rookie pitcher Kyle Abbott (0-7) to the minors.
