LONG BEACH : 7th Suspect Arrested in Murder of Cyclist

Long Beach police this week arrested a local man in connection with the murder of Matthew Haines during the riots, bringing the total number of arrests in the case to seven.
Haines was shot to death while riding his motorcycle to help friends leave a dangerous area. Haines’ nephew, Scott Coleman, was shot three times and survived. On Monday, police arrested Larry Williams, 23, in connection with the shootings. Police have also arrested Long Beach residents Eric Davis, 18, Fabin Nixon, 18, and four juveniles.
