What Kings Must Do to Improve Next Season

To Mr. Bruce McNall:

Please make two more trades. The first with our friend-foe Edmonton Oilers. Trade Rogie Vachon for Glen Sather. Pay Sather whatever he asks.

Second, trade Gretzky, Robitaille and Sandstrom to Quebec for the rights to Eric Lindros. McNall was quoted in the Toronto Star as saying that he would never go after Lindros because he was not a big enough name for Los Angeles.

Well, we just found out what’s in a name. Our costly “has-been names” got trounced by the “no-name” Oilers. Hurts, doesn’t it?
