Gonzalez Fights Brooks Tonight

Mexico City sensation Carlos Gonzalez brings his record of 29 knockouts in 30 fights to the Forum tonight to meet Tim Brooks of Sacramento. The junior- welterweight match is the headliner on a boxing card with three 10-round bouts.

Gonzalez, 19, is 30-0 and will make his U.S. debut. Of his 29 knockouts, 17 have come in the first round and 22 inside of three. Brooks is 13-9-1.

Heavyweight Dave Dixon (11-1) meets Lionel Butler (11-10-1), and lightweights David Sample (17-0) and Ramon Zavala (14-6) meet in the third 10-rounder.
