BASEBALL / DAILY REPORT : AROUND THE MAJOR LEAGUES : Another Cardinal Goes on Disabled List

The St. Louis Cardinals put utilityman Rex Hudler on the 15-day disabled list and called up Bien Figueroa from triple-A Louisville. Hudler sustained a partial tear of the ligament in his left knee while sliding into third base Wednesday night. He is the 10th Cardinal to go on the disabled list this season. Hudler was hitting .240 with two home runs when he was injured. Figueroa, 28, is making his first appearance in the majors.
