To Lower Stars’ Pay, Simply Cease Hiring
Reading about some of those lunatic salaries paid to TV stars gave me my biggest laugh of the week, “Too Costly for Prime Time,” (March 22). The producers of those shows have no one to blame but themselves.
Paying Ted Danson $250,000 for each episode is not only insane, but unnecessary. No one is indispensable. Producers should just refrain from using those people for a year or two. After that, they’d be able to hire them for about $10,000 an episode, which is still much too much.
Those crazy producers should be kicked out of their jobs. Everyone in that industry is grossly overpaid.
