Scholarship to Honor Lifeguard Who Died
A lifeguard scholarship has been established in honor of Michael K. Knight, the San Diego lifeguard who died in 1991.
The scholarship offered by the San Diego Lifesaving Assn., will be awarded to a San Diegan 15 or 16 years old who wishes to attend the city of San Diego Junior Lifeguard Program.
Application packets can be picked up at any San Diego lifeguard stations, by writing to Mike Knight Scholarship, P.O. Box 9005, San Diego 92109, or by calling 581-1515.
Applications must be postmarked before midnight June 1.
