Dana Hills Forfeits Four Baseball Games
Dana Hills High School’s baseball team has forfeited three nonleague victories and a tie early in the season because it used an ineligible player, Coach Bob Canary said.
Dana Hills forfeited victories against Downey, University and Fountain Valley and a tie against La Quinta in the Loara tournament.
“We had a transfer who never changed residency, and we fumbled the ball on checking him out,” Canary said. “Fortunately, we caught the error before we started playing league games.”
The losses drop Dana Hills to 6-16 overall; the Dolphins remain 5-6 in league play.
