The sixth Jack Oakie Lecture on Comedy will be given by film critic and author Leonard Maltin on Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the Samuel Goldwyn Theater of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Maltin’s lecture will focus on the blending of broad physical comedy and clever wordplay mastered by such teams as Abbott and Costello and Laurel and Hardy. Film clips will accompany the talk.
