Recycling Post-Its Is Sticky No Longer

It is now deemed environmentally responsible to recycle that classic office accouterment, the pastel Post-it note, according to its maker, Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing Co.
3M says Weyerhaeuser Co., which has paper recycling facilities in Vernon and Los Angeles, has expanded its list of acceptable “white office waste” to include the small note paper, which was once banned. Other mills across the country are doing likewise, according to 3M.
The glue and pastel colors are either dispersed or washed away in the normal recycling process, the company says.
