San Diego boxer Jesus Salud has filed a protest with the International Boxing Federation to seek a rematch with super bantamweight title-holder Welcome N’Cita.

Salud lost a unanimous decision to N’Cita Saturday in Italy. The protest, filed by Salud’s manager, Bob DePhilippis, charges referee Joey Curtis cost Salud the fight by failing to note his knockdown of N’Cita in the fifth round.
