SOMBER TIMING: San Juan Capistrano’s Collene Campbell, above, will be among eight honored by President Bush in the White House Rose Garden on Friday for her work on behalf of crime victims. The timing was eerie. The White House tracked her down in Mexico on last Friday--the 10th anniversary of the murder of her 27-year-old son, Scott. Campbell and husband, Gary, were there paying tribute to Scott, whose body--never found--may have washed along the Baja shore, police say. The Campbells endured three trials before both their son’s killers were convicted.
