Hollywood Mural

I believe that favoring a Michael Jackson mural over Orson Welles (April 12) is absolutely befitting of the kind of treatment Welles received from Hollywood throughout his life. After all, Welles never had a top-10 hit, wore sparkily astronaut outfits, or even participated in a music video. His only claim to our sinking culture is that he made a few classic American films, and was considered one of the legends among all filmmakers. Bravo, Hollywood council, you’ve certainly retained the type of class and dignity that is so synonymous with “Hollywood Boulevard” these days!
