San Dimas : A Pledge for the Prom
More than 500 San Dimas High School juniors and seniors will pledge at a Friday morning rally not to drink or take drugs and drive during their prom on Saturday.
Los Angeles County Sheriff Sherman Block and former Los Angeles Dodger Tommy Davis will speak during the 8:50 a.m. gathering in the school gymnasium.
The event is sponsored by the San Dimas sheriff’s station. Every year, the station’s crime prevention officers conduct an anti-drinking and driving campaign to reduce teen-age traffic deaths and injuries during prom week.
