FHP Offers Consolidated Health Care: FHP International Inc. in Fountain Valley has teamed with a San Diego insurer to become the state’s first HMO operator to offer a program for employers to consolidate general health benefits and workers’ compensation coverage. FHP workers will monitor employers’ compliance with Cal/OSHA rules, evaluate their work sites to suggest improvements that would lower work-related injuries and ostensibly cut workers’ compensation payments within three years.
