ORANGE : City Agencies Move to New Quarters
The city’s development and housing agencies will move to new quarters today.
The new offices for the city’s Redevelopment Agency, economic development division and the housing and community development block grant programs are at 230 E. Chapman Ave.
The office space will house 16 employees and is large enough to provide for expansion, said Redevelopment Agency Director Bert Yamasaki.
The agency acquired the former Bayview Savings & Loan building last March and began renovations, including an extensive asbestos removal project.
The agency also added an elevator for handicapped access and still stayed $50,000 under budget for the renovation, Yamasaki said.
Sheridan Design Group of Irvine was the project architect and designer, and Prizio & Prizio of Fountain Valley was the general contractor.
